Popping in today to link up with Barb for her app happy Wednesday. I used this yesterday in my Texture Tuesday post, but I so love the effect I created in PicTapGo it reminds me of a 60’s type album sleeve by someone like the ‘Lovin Spoonful’
Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn’t it a pity?
Doesn’t seem to be a shadow in the city
I added some text I had created in Photoshop then imported into Letter Glow….
Are you joining in ?
I have just discovered two new apps and oh the possibilities….
Photocopier and Superimpose.
I superimposed a foreground and a background and played with opacity fun.
Photocopier imitates artists, processing and movies, it has endless possibilities. The photo below is I believe Monet as you can imagine I played so much I couldn’t remember what I did !!
I promise next time I will really make a note of what I did !!!
Love Hipstamatic so much, I used Dream Canvas and Salvador a great effect. My little bottles make great props and I think the aged vintage look works really well…
This image is taken on my iPhone then through Mextures then Distressed FX and finally I added a little bit of text I imported into Letterglow.
Thanks to Barb for hosting this linkup now go and check out all the goodness from my fellow app addicts !!!
it’s App Happy Wednesday with Barb.
I took the photo with Pro Camera
Popped it into Vintique to give it a matt look.
Then into Letter Glow to add some text
over into Image Blender to add some text.
Finally into Distressed FX for some grunging I love the effect.
I then imported them into lightroom to create a photo booth effect …..
Hope you like my take on some of my favourite apps take a look and see what everyone else is talking about….
Ok so I said to Jo ‘I will back up all your NZ photos on dropbox and on my external hard drive’. Now I’m beginning to think I have taken on a mammoth task the photos are flying over and I am swamped already but never mind the photos are fantastic…
Onto Friday Finds. I have decided to post 5 photos illustrating my feelings this week….Very much a mixture of highs and lows but always with me my trusty picture taking equipment. I am finding that I’m using my phone a lot at the moment, my only wish a zoom but hey we can’t have everything .
# 1 Finding and loving more iPhone apps and sharing with Barb at Keeping with the Times
for her app happy Wednesday link up. Here I used Distressed FX and Letter Glow
# 2 Seeking the simple I have embarked on a journey with Kim Klassen on her Be Still 52
I am loving this already. Registration is still open.
#3 Looking at beauty everywhere this is my neighbour’s wisteria it drapes itself so beautifully over the hedge at the bottom of the garden and the scent …..
# 4 I have had so much benefit from Jo’s leaving bouquet finally I have had to admit defeat and throw it away not before one last photo session. The soap is from Anthropologie I bought it for the paper and it smells divine.
|Using Kim’s canvasback texture.
# 5 Finally back to another app, I took this photo using the wonderful Hipstamatic app. I used Tejas lens and Dreamcanvas film my favourite combination….
Two other things that I am very interested in are connected to the World War One commemorations that will begin this August . Firstly the Imperial War museum have opened an archive called Lives of the First World War
here you can read about and take part part in remembering the lives of the fallen. Also my friends Show of Hands are releasing a CD in June called Centenary: Words and Music of the Great War the narration is by Jim Carter Mr Carson, Downton Abbey) and Imelda Staunton ( Harry Potter, Sense and Sensibility)
Anyway back to the sorting of photos have a great weekend……
Last week Mark and I went on a bit of a road trip but we were chased by the rain. As we climbed up the hill from Lynmouth onto Exmoor the sun came out. I snapped this on my iPhone as we carried on climbing to the top of the moor.
I used Snapseed to tune the image, and used loads of drama and saturation. I then used a new app that Terri from Photographically Speaking
recommended last week called LetterGlow to add my own word art.
Here is another image from the same road trip inside the stables at Arlington Court where I hid from the torrential rain. Once again Snapseed is my friend !!!

Why don’t you join up with Barb ?
My friend Barb at Keeping with the Times is starting a new link called App Happy Wednesday I am so happy to be linking up with this as I’m an app happy blogger….
So here is my first link up. Early morning dew on a Tulip leaf. I took the photo with Pro Camera 7 my favourite camera app. Imported then into Snapseed to be tweaked, Stackables to add some lovely layers of grunge and texture then Handwriter to add text. I think my only beef with Stackables is the low resolution, it is fine for web based but not for printing.
The second image is taken into Pic Grunger scratched and textured with canvas, a border added then I imported into Phonto and added my text….
Are you going to join up ?
