“One can never have enough socks,” said Dumbledore. “Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn’t get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books.”

As far as I’m concerned you can never have enough socks or books ……

Love the photons Viv-I’m curious as to why it’s a month of mixed emotions. Sending love and light to help with that. Xo

December is a month of mixed emotions for me, too. My life is good and I do love it…but it’s not the life I’d imagined for myself when I was younger. Winter holidays, Christmas especially, bring on a big dose of nostalgia that can be painful, missing friends and family members who are far away or have passed on. It seems a time of introspection (something I do a lot anyway). It’s a complicated time for me for a lot of personal reasons. Plus…I love Christmas but struggle every year to feel the spirit of the season while ignoring the crass commercialization all around.
Your photos reflect that mixed mood, I think. I especially like that little heart pillow. Is that a sachet? Did you make it?

I love this idea, Viv! And I can’t wait to see it unfold. In general, yes, I do embrace December. At some point during the month I’ll get a little uncertain, overwhelmed but the joy returns because I do love the holidays. It’s the winter that follows that tends to undo me.
