“It’s a bizarre but wonderful feeling, to arrive dead center of a target you didn’t even know you were aiming for.”
I have a foot in both camps. I love soft and dreamy still life, but equally love the gritty, high drama of the everyday. So here are a few of this weeks offerings.

Mark and I took another trip to London this time to The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, out of all the photos I took this one really spoke to me. A ray of light hitting some carving in the Painted Hall in The Royal Naval College.
Resting weary feet in the shade.
On my morning walk Autumn is coming….
Morning at the farmer’s market.
Playing with light…
Using my own Lightroom preset ‘chalk’
Hope your weekend is sunny….
You are going to excel in the Slice of Life class because these shots of every day are fabulous, especially the bench sitting one.

Lovely photos, Viv. What a coincidence that we should both be in Greenwich at the same time. Pity we didn’t get to meet up! All the best, Bonny

morning is my favorite time for walking…well, in the autumn a mid-afternoon walk is pleasant as well. I just got adobe creative cloud/lightroom and photoshop. I can’t quite figure out how to make it all work…or even what it’s called. But, I’m sure I’ll have fun with it. I like your photo images so I’m hoping I can learn from other bloggers.

You captured the everyday, the light, people and objects, and turned what others walk right past into wonderful images. Beautiful.

Great shots, Viv. Yes you do have an eye for detail, and the ability to capture it all so beautifully. Great collage and I’m so very impressed – your very own lr preset!!

I’m like that, too –in that I sometimes love the gritty feel in my pics, but sometimes, I lean towards soft and dreamy. Wonderful captures you have here. I especially like the leading lines in the second picture.

Viv I’m just like you with the lights and a bit of the brights…and don’t forget nature. I envy you your trips to London and all the good things you find. I’m also impressed with your preset, really nice.
If nothing else we have fun, right.

Love all your photos ! Especially the leaf one and the collage is wonderful with your own preset. We must have been on the same wavelength …I have been thinking about shooting my pile of books too. I also have Shooting with Soul, and someday intend to carry out the prompts !

The dramatic details and color on the top one is wonderful Viv! It’s great to have more than one style to work on and go with the mood. I do love your last one of your book stack and own LR preset (love the name “chalk”)! I see you found Bella Grace too! I’ll check out Shooting With Soul – it sounds good.

I can relate to the split personality thing. I admire and want to do soft and dreamy…but I lean more naturally toward crisp and contrasty. I do love your “chalk” preset…and that wonderfully textured box in the farmer’s market image.
