We know that in September, we will wander through the warm winds of summer’s wreckage. We will welcome summer’s ghost.
As usual as soon as the school term begins we have a wonderful spell of warm dry weather. The mornings start with a bite, but before long out comes the sun. The wasps are gorging themselves on the fallen apples and the trees are beginning to turn.

This is not going to be a good year for our apple tree. But luckily my neighbour has a glut so if I need any all I have to do is walk next door. Mark is relieved, less windfalls to pick before he can mow.
Love this time of year and this image has such beautiful fall-like tones and textures!

Love the tones- beautifully shot and edited! I’m not seeing too much in the way of fall yet here in Arizona- but I’m ready!

Love the tone and composition of this image. Captures the feeling of Fall. We too are experiencing an Indian Summer. Rare air for us Seattle folk.

The chill in the morning air is what I so love about the Autumn/Fall season Viv! Then that nice warm up through the day. Your apple story is great – not having to pick up the ones on the ground before mowing. LOVE your linen towel!! Enjoy your Indian Summer.

Everything looks very yummy on your plate. We had a very old apple tree at our last house, yes a big pain to clear the ground before mowing. Thankfully the worst I have here is acorns.

I guess there is a good thing with not have a bumper crop and having a good neighbor. Love the tones also Viv.

Lol! My hubby wouldn’t even let me plant any fruit trees for that very reason. Love your set up. Cool plate and the cheese looks mighty good right now. I’m hungry.
