These dank cold mornings can be so uninspiring to the photographer so sometimes more processing is needed to get just the right effect.
This Silver Birch in our garden is a sad sight, it leans over as it once was overpowered by a huge conifer from our neighbour’s garden. We were hoping that it would recover but now I’m not so sure. I love the silhouette effect you can get so it has endless possibilities in LR and Photoshop.
After playing in LR I decided it had a Japanese feel to it. I love the pink hazy effect I got I also used a texture from Kim’s Waterfront collection..
Oh and designing logos has become addictive !
I love the idea to design a texture tuesday logo and your textured branches look so beautiful!!

Viv, you have taken a picture of branches and turned it in to something lovely! Actually, I even like the first picture a lot. I like the simpleness of the branches against the haze .

The pink treatment is so beautiful. The fun thing of processing is to give dull things in winter a cheerfulness. Our sun is no where to be seen this week.

Don't you just love photography? Your photo and texturing and logos are great. Very nice. I can't afford LR or I'd be trying that one out too. Looks like it gives some nice effects. :)Visiting from Texture Tuesday http://peabea.blogspot.com/2011/12/i-want-blue-bear.html

Bare branches against the sky are so lovely. I often stop to admire trees along the path as I look straight up. Your texture edit adds beauty. And I love the logo! I wish I knew how to do that. Something I should learn . . .

I haven't done a logo yet but made some word art 'badges' and ended making 7 for a future kit. I'm still itching to make more. Your tree has captivated my heart…
