I’ve had a week of illness that has seen me losing my creativity badly. In particular my photography has really suffered. Writing though has not left me. So far all my writing has had a melancholy feel to it. I suppose it’s the very grey days we are experiencing, oh for crisp days with blue skies…. I love adding some of my digi stash to create a layout.
Thoughts fall down on me with every breath they grow.
Joining others, why ? when ? how ?
Why did that happen ?
To slip away, into the mist, like a wraith
moving softly away through the bare trees,
wisps sitting on the branches,
then, disappearing completely.
Some thoughts hover for a while.
Overhead they gently move then,
like the others they melt away.

Well feeling under the weather is NO fun during the holidays especially. But your work is still amazing. Merry Christmas to YOU.

Viv, your poem is so beautiful…it most definitely matches the tone of winter but in a very lovely way. Thank you for sharing, and I hope you're feeling better soon!

So beautiful. I think that we need to view our writing as equal to our photography, when unable to do one we always have the other to turn to, which brings comfort.

Sounds normal when you're not feeling well. But you still manage to do lovely work. Me? I'm useless if I don't feel well. Hope you feel better soon!
