“A great fire burns within me, but no one stops to warm themselves at it, and passers-by only see a wisp of smoke”
The house is silent just the drip of the tap in the kitchen, she is on her own .. Does she like this ? No she doesn’t, She would much rather be out having coffee with a friend. The truth is her life is pretty insular. Since she moved into this house she has gone out for the day on her own less and less. Why is this so ? .. She always went out on the train or the bus .. She can’t put a pin on the moment when she started to feel anxious about being on her own, what she does know is that it must nipped in the bud right away. So she decided to set some small tasks to have some adventures..

Life at home is great for a time, but the world has so much to offer, so many things to see. Your creative photographer heart is calling to go out and explore.

Lovely collage! Yes, life inside is safe, good, and quiet, but outdoors is full of inspiration and new life. Very creative Viv!

Love the collage, and that apple in the grass, has a lovely dimension to it, I love me some rut at home but agree a little adventure never hurts either.

Such a beautiful collage, love that apple shot! And you know, it seems I have that problem too, I love to wander and go on adventures but the more I'm home, the more at home I stay. Looking forward to some cooler weather, I think that will help!

I love everything about this post! The narrative {I've been having similar thoughts lately 'since I retired'} and the stunning collage. Thank you, Viv!

What a beautiful collage. I especially love the apple photo. I am an introvert and I can relate to what you're saying. I go to work and I have to be out and about. If I retired, I may want to spend a lot of time at home. I do think we'll always get out with our cameras, though — in search of new beauty in the world.

Beautiful writing Viv and an equally beautiful collage. I call myself a hermit so I'm planning some weekend getaways with hubbs and our camper, looking for Autumn activities at some not-so-far-away campgrounds to get some good and different shots with my camera. Sometimes we have to MAKE ourselves step outside our safe place. 🙂

I often find it easiest to stay in and this is partly why I took up photography and lately started the Weekend Walks to make myself get out and about. Your photos are beautiful – such rich colour. I'm looking forward to getting out to capture the autumnal colour and I'm sure you will enjoy this too.

Understand totally. I intended to go out this morning but woke up late. Had a bad sore throat and couldn't go anyway. Love that quote and awesome story board.
